Aunque pueda sonar muy fácil, es muy común encontrarnos en medio de una conversación y tener esa palabra tan común en la punta de la lengua, y aún así no recordarla.

En algunos casos, queremos demostrar nuestro conocimiento en inglés y al momento de expresar una idea básica, nos damos cuenta que no sabemos cómo se dice cierta palabra o expresión en inglés.
No importa si tienes un nivel impresionante de fluidez y una excelente pronunciación, adquirir vocabulario es un proceso separado y debemos aprenderlo siguiendo otros métodos.

Cómo Aprender Vocabulario en Inglés
Antes de empezar a memorizar palabras como loros, debemos tener en cuenta algunos detalles que te ayudarán a aprovechar todo este nuevo conocimiento:
1. La Pronunciación
A medida que trabajas en la memorización de vocabulario nuevo, debes trabajar en aprender la pronunciación correctamente. Aprender nuevas palabras sin su pronunciación resultará en un aprendizaje incompleto.
Puedes utilizar el Diccionario de Cambridge para practicar la pronunciación a medida que aprendes cada palabra nueva.
2. La Memorización
Si quieres memorizar nuevo vocabulario exitosamente, debes asegurarte que lo aprendas siempre con un contexto adecuado. No es lo mismo aprender mil palabras de una lista que aprenderlas con un ejemplo adecuado que te brinde un contexto ideal, así como verás más abajo.
También puedes aplicar técnicas como pegar post-its en todos los objetos con sus nombres en inglés. No retires los post-its hasta que hayas memorizado el nombre de cada objeto. Si lo olvidas, vuelvelo a colocar y trata de asimilarlo poco a poco.
3. La Práctica
I know I know… what a cliché! Pero vamos, que es absolutamente necesario. Recuerda que no hay fórmulas mágicas.
